NORTHWEST VERMONT SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT
Shall the Northwest Vermont Solid Waste Management District be authorized to incur long-term debt in an amount not to exceed one million, sixty thousand dollars ($1,060,000.00) for the purpose of purchasing a parcel of land and the construction of a building and the necessary equipment thereon located in the Town of Georgia, Vermont for use as a materials aggregation and processing facility?
Revenue for the repayment of the long-term indebtedness authorized by Article I will be generated through fees assessed on waste generated in member municipalities and materials brought to the facility, the sale of marketable materials, and municipal assessments.

REMINDERS FROM THE NORTH HERO TOWN CLERK…..
January 30, 2006 was the deadline for petitions to be submitted for elected positions. However, if anyone wishes to run for public office, a write-in campaign can be conducted.
On February 13, 2006, absentee ballots will be available at the Town Office. An absentee ballot request form can be downloaded from the web page (www.Northherovt.org) and mailed to the North Hero Town Clerk or a form can be picked up at the Town Office. A ballot will be forwarded, which must be returned by 7 p.m. on March 7th when the polls close. Voters, family members, authorized persons or health care providers may request absentee ballots until 4:30 p.m. on March 6th.
As of February 2, 2006, both the Town of North Hero and North Hero School Districts warnings for the March 7th meeting have been posted at the Town Office, at the North Hero Elementary School and at both stores in town.
On Saturday, March 4th, a public informational hearing will be conducted at 3 p.m. in the North Hero Elementary School Gym to discuss the articles to be voted on by Australian ballot on Tuesday, March 7th, 2006.
February 27, 2006 is the last day to apply for addition to the checklist to vote at town meeting. The application needs to be in by 12 noon.
March 7, 2006 the polls are open at the North Hero Elementary School Gym from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to vote by Australian Ballot on warned articles.

Town of North Hero
SPECIAL TOWN MEETING
The legal voters of the Town of North Hero, Vermont, are hereby notified and warned that a special vote to address the Town Hall/Town Office issue will be held on Monday, October 24th, 2005 at the Town Office located at 2681 U.S. Route 2, between the hours of seven o’clock (7:00) in the forenoon (a.m.), at which time the polls will open, and seven (7:00) in the afternoon (p.m.), at which time the polls will close, to vote by Australian ballot on the following articles:
Article 1: Shall general obligation bonds of the Town of North Hero be issued in an amount not to exceed $650,000 for the purpose of constructing a new municipal office building on the site of the present Community Hall?
Article 2: Shall general obligation bonds of the Town of North Hero be issued in an amount not to exceed $575,000 for the purpose of constructing a new municipal office building directly behind the present Community Hall.
The legal voters of the Town of North Hero are further notified that voter qualification, registration and absentee voting relative to said special vote shall be as provided in Chapters 43, 51 and 55 of Title 17, Vermont Statutes Annotated.
The legal voters of the Town of North Hero are further notified that informational meetings will be held at the North Hero Elementary School in the Town of North Hero on Monday, October 3rd, 2005, and Monday, October 17th, 2005, each commencing at seven thirty o’clock (7:30) in the evening (p.m.) for the purpose of explaining the subjects proposed.
Adopted and approved at a regular meeting of the Selectboard of the Town of North Hero duly called, noticed and held on September 24th, 2005. Received for record and recorded in the records of the Town of North Hero on September __, 2005.
