INFORMATION HEARING
The legal voters of the Town of North Hero are hereby notified and warned of a Public Hearing to be held at the North Hero School, in said town, on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. in the afternoon. Said hearing is an Information Hearing to discuss the articles listed below to be voted on by Australian Ballot on Tuesday, March 6, 2007.

The legal voters of the Town of North Hero are hereby notified and warned to meet at the North Hero School, in said town, on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 with polls open between the hours of 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM to vote by Australian Ballot on the following articles:
1. Will the legal voters of the town authorize the Selectboard to borrow in
anticipation of taxes?
2. Will the legal voters of the Town of North Hero authorize for fiscal year
2007-2008 a general fund expenditure for operation expenses of
$758,109 of which $508,359 shall be raised by taxes, $199,750 by non-tax revenue and $50,000 by previous years’ surpluses?
3. Will the Town of North Hero appropriate the sum of $20,000 for the North Hero Fire Department to be used for the purchase of firefighting equipment?
4. Will the legal voters of the Town of North Hero appropriate the sum of $20,000 for the use of the School for Town functions?
5. Will the Town of North Hero approve the sum of $12,000 for the Grand Isle County Mutual Aid Association which will be used for the county wide Emergency Communications and Dispatch Systems?
6. Will the Town of North Hero approve the sum of $12,820 to defray operating expenses of Grand Isle Rescue?
7. Will the legal voters of the Town of North Hero authorize the Library Trustees to spend all funds (i.e. fund raising, town allocations, grants, etc.) for support of the Library?
8. Will the legal voters of the Town of North Hero appropriate the sum of $13,015.29 for North Hero’s portion of the County Wide Full Time Deputy?
9. Will the legal voters of the Town of North Hero appropriate the sum of 21,561.17 for North Hero’s portion of the County Wide Part Time Deputy, administrative fees and equipment?
10. Will the legal voters of the Town of North Hero approve pursuing a Village Center Designation?
11. Will the legal voters of the Town of North Hero appropriate the sum of $26,000 to purchase a new truck with an additional $20,000 being spent from the Capital Equipment Fund?
12. Will the legal voters of the Town of North Hero appropriate the sum of $250 for the Lake Champlain Islands Food Shelf?
13. Will the legal voters of the Town of North Hero appropriate the sum of $2,000 for Emergency Management?
14. Will the legal voters of the Town of North Hero vote to apply the amount allocated under Chapter 135 of Title 32 of the Vermont Statutes Annotated (Homestead Property Tax Income Sensitivity Adjustment) to the taxpayers’ property tax installments in order (adjustment would be applied to first installment first and then if any more, to remaining installments)?
15. Will the legal voters of the Town of North Hero appropriate the sum of $30 for Vermont Trails and Greenways Council?
16. Will the legal voters of the Town of North Hero appropriate the sum of $2,000
for the Northwest Vermont Public Transit Network, Inc.?
17. Will the legal voters of the Town of North Hero appropriate the sum of $300 for The Family Center of Northwestern Vermont?
18. Will the legal voters of the Town of North Hero appropriate the sum of $20,000 for the establishment of West View Cemetery?
19. To elect, by ballot, a Moderator for one year.
20. To elect, by ballot, a Selectboard member who shall serve for two years.
21. To elect, by ballot, a Selectboard member who shall serve for three years.
22. To elect, by ballot, a Lister who shall serve for a term of three years.
23. To elect, by ballot, a Lister who shall serve for a term of two years.
24. To elect, by ballot, a Lister who shall serve for a term of one year.
25. To elect, by ballot, an Auditor who shall serve for a term of three years.
26. To elect, by ballot, a Cemetery Commissioner who shall serve for five years.
27. To elect, by ballot, a Cemetery Commission who shall serve for two years.
28. To elect, by ballot, a Library Trustee who shall serve for four years.
29. To elect, by ballot, a Library Trustee who shall serve for three years.
30. To elect, by ballot, three Planning Commissioners who shall serve for three years.
31. To elect, by ballot, a Second Constable who shall serve for one year.
32. To elect, by ballot, a Delinquent Tax Collector who shall serve for one year.
33. To elect, by ballot, a Town Agent who shall serve for one year.
34. To elect, by ballot, a Grand Juror who shall serve for one year.
35. To elect, by ballot, three Recreation Committee Members who shall serve for three years.
